Lady Pirates Stay Perfect In Region 16, Secure Top Seed For Region Tournament

The Lady Pirates dominated Saturday afternoon to secure the #1 seed in Region 16, rolling to an 81-48 victory over St. Louis Community College on the road at Forest Park.

North Central Missouri College shot an efficient 45.1 percent from the field (32-of-71) and controlled the game in every phase, piling up 23 assists and 23 steals while forcing constant pressure on the defensive end.

Honor Mannings led the offensive charge with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including a perfect 1-of-1 from three-point range, and added four steals and two assists. Tailer Morrison was equally effective inside, scoring 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting while pulling down six rebounds.

The Lady Pirates' balance was evident throughout the lineup. Laney Uchtman came off the bench to score 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting, while Lexi Burns added eight points and three rebounds in a strong reserve effort. Addilyn Henke contributed eight points and five assists, helping facilitate an offense that consistently found high-quality looks.

At the point, Keylie Beane filled the stat sheet with a game-high 10 assists to go along with four points, four rebounds, and six steals, setting the tone defensively. Liz Oliver anchored the glass with six rebounds and added four steals and a block. Delaney Richards chipped in six rebounds, including four on the offensive end, as NCMC finished with an 11-25 edge on the boards.

Defensively, the Lady Pirates were relentless, recording 23 steals and holding St. Louis CC to just 48 points.

With the win, the Lady Pirates continue to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
