The NCMC Women's Golf team traveled to Columbia, MO on Sunday to compete at the Columbia College Spring Invitational held at Columbia Country Club. The event was comprised of NAIA schools mixed with Division II Lincoln University, NJCAA John A. Logan College and the NCMC trip of Kennady George, Courtney Crose and Casey Phillips.
Kennady George led the Pirate Women in scoring throughout the event with 18-hole rounds of 94 and 95 finishing George in solo 29th place at the completion of the event. George recorded four pars at the event and improved her final round to first round scoring with a solid front nine tally of 45 on Tuesday.
Courtney Crose (T30th) began the tournament posting a Day one score of 102 but improved that score by five shots for a final round score of 97. Crose tallied five pars for the event and improved her back nine by scoring by six shots from Monday to Tuesday.
Casey Phillips was also in action for the NCMC Women posting 18-hole rounds of 106 and 107 for a 36-hole total of 213 and good for a solo 34th place finish at the event.
NCMC Pirate Alumni golfers were also in action at the event in Kennedy Dickerson and Haley Baskett competing for NAIA William Woods University.
Kennedy Dickerson notched a Top 20 finishing in 19th at the event with 18-hole rounds of 87 and 93 while Haley Baskett finished in 26th place at the event posting 18-hole rounds of 95 and 92
