Women's Basketball Dominates U of St. Mary JV

North Central Missouri College women's basketball, ranked 21st in the latest NJCAA DII poll, delivered a dominant performance Tuesday evening, defeating University of St. Mary JV 102-45 at KCC. They now hold an impressive 19-7 record with their chance to reach the 20-win mark coming Saturday on the road against Region 16 opponent St. Louis CC.

 

The Lady Pirates shot 42.9 percent from the field and knocked down 14 three-pointers while controlling the glass with a commanding 57-38 rebounding advantage.

 

Sidney Aeschliman led the offensive attack with 20 points, connecting on five three-pointers and adding three blocks and two steals in a strong all-around effort. Liz Oliver was highly efficient inside, going 8-of-11 from the floor to finish with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and a block.

 

Addilyn Henke provided a spark off the bench with 18 points, including three triples, while Peyton Johnson added 14 points and three three-pointers of her own. Honor Mannings stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals, helping set the tone defensively as NCMC forced 26 turnovers and recorded 15 steals as a team.

 

Laney Uchtman controlled the paint with a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with 10 points, giving the Lady Pirates another double-figure scorer. Lexi Burns chipped in seven points and four rebounds, while Delaney Richards contributed five points in 15 minutes.

 

Keylie Beane impacted the game beyond the scoring column, pulling down nine rebounds and dishing out a team-high seven assists to anchor the Lady Pirates' ball movement. NCMC finished with 18 assists on 33 made field goals.
