Men's basketball had their season come to a close when they took an 86-69 defeat in the Central Plains District Championship against ASU Mid-South. The Pirates finished the season with a record of 22-9 and one win shy of another NJCAA DII National Tournament appearance.
Camden Bennett led the Pirates offensively with 21 points, shooting 7-of-18 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line while also adding seven rebounds. Deng Gak delivered a strong performance inside with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting and recorded a double-double with a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with four blocked shots and three steals. James Porter III contributed 11 points and seven rebounds, while Camden Brown added seven points with two assists and two blocks. Grant Redd facilitated the offense with five assists to go along with five points and three rebounds. Off the bench, Za'Corrie Kerr chipped in six points and Kalen Streit provided a spark with four rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Pirates grabbed 35 rebounds and recorded eight steals and seven blocks, but Arkansas State Mid-South used a big scoring night from Phillip Tillman to pull away late.
