Pirate's basketball fell 83–55 at home to 3rd ranked Johnson County Community College on Tuesday, bringing their record to 15-7. They will look to rebound on Wednesday night when they travel to league foe Metropolitan CC.
Deng Gak led NCMC with a double-double, finishing with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds while adding a block and shooting 2-of-4 from three-point range. James Porter III also scored 11 points on an efficient 5-of-9 shooting night, while Grant Redd chipped in nine points and three assists.
Za'Corrie Kerr provided a spark off the bench with 10 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers, and Camden Brown added eight points with two steals. Kalen Streit and Redd each dished out multiple assists as the Pirates worked to generate offense against a strong Cavaliers defense.
