Pirates Throttle CMU JV, Look Ahead To Big Road Matchup With #4 Ellsworth CC

The North Central Missouri College men's basketball team turned in a dominant all-around performance on Tuesday night, rolling past Central Methodist University JV 100–59. With the win, NCMC is now 15-5 with their next test coming on the road Saturday against Ellsworth CC, a team currently ranked #4 in the latest NJCAA DII poll.  The Pirates are sitting at #21 nationally.

 

James Porter III led the way for the Pirates with a game-high 25 points, shooting 9-of-12 from the field while adding seven rebounds. Kalen Streit was flawless offensively, going a perfect 8-for-8 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Camden Brown matched Streit with 16 points and chipped in six rebounds, two steals and a block.

 

Deng Gak provided a strong presence in the paint with 12 points, four rebounds, a steal and a block, while Grant Redd added 13 points and four boards. NCMC shot an impressive 58.6 percent from the floor and controlled the glass with a 47–26 rebounding advantage.

 

The Pirates also received solid contributions from the bench, highlighted by Cole Johnson's six points and two steals and Talan Holt's six points and four rebounds, as NCMC cruised to the convincing victory.
