Pitching Dominates In Baseball Road Sweep Of Park U

In the battle of the Pirates, NCMC bested Park University in Tuesday's baseball doubleheader 10-3 and 9-1 to improve their fall scrimmage record to 4-3-1.  The Pirates have now earned victories in three of their last four matchups.  They will look to stay hot on Sunday when they travel to Rolla to take on the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

NCMC's pitching staff was a catalyst for Tuesday's victories.  They allowed just 3 earned runs over 14 innings pitched, striking out 22 Park U batters.  Getting wins were sophomores Nathan Fine and Layne Rutherford.

With the bat, Rutherford and Josue Noyola each posted 3 hits in the wins.  Edward Viloria went 2-4 with a pair of runs and 2 RBI's.  As a team, NCMC batted .412 but did strike out 19 times, a number the team would like to see decrease as the fall progresses.
