"Huge thanks to Doug at SWCC and Matt at Glen Oaks for hosting this event at such a historic venue. Also, a huge thank you to our college media team of getting some great action photos and videos of the guys on Monday.  The Course was a great test of collegiate golf, and I am proud of the guys for a solid finish. Kaleb and Jorge played great. A 76 & 77 felt like a 71 today given how tough the course was playing. Hopefully everyone took positives away from the event and some learning opportunities but now it is right back to staying process focused and getting prepared for the Simpson Spring Classic next week".

The Pirate Men continued their solid play throughout their Spring Tournament slate earning another Top 5 finishing 4th place in the 11-team tournament field after firing a team score of 316, only eleven strokes back of team champion Luther College.

Kaleb Groomer (T5th) and Jorge Gomez (T8th) led the Pirates to earn a Top 5 and Top 10 respectively.  Groomer fired a round of 76 coming around the course with nine-hole splits of 37-39 and carding two birdies. Jorge Gomez was right behind shooting a 77 with two birdies and impressive even par 35 on his outward nine.

Alvaro Alegria (T18th) finished inside the Top 20 shooting a 79 for NCMC including one birdie and eight pars and a birdie. Guillermo Gomez posted an 82 with splits of 42-40 while Dylan Groomer shot a round of 84.

Grant Leamer and Lucas Viertaler shot matching rounds of 85. Leamer finished 2nd in the event with total birdies with three on the day and a solid 39 on his inward nine. Viertaler came around the Glen Oaks CC layout with splits of 44-41.

Lucas Schussler and Riley shot rounds of 88 and 92 respectively. Schussler recorded six pars on the day while Gott recorded one birdie.

The NCMC Men's Golf team will be in action next on 4/15/26 when they travel to Indianola, IA to compete in the Simpson Storm Spring Classic held at Indianola Country Club. Shotgun start for the event will begin at 10:00 A.M.
