Pirates Cruise To A 25 Point Victory To Open The NCMC Classic

North Central Missouri College, up to #11 in the latest NJCAA DII national poll, put together a balanced and physical performance on both ends of the floor, earning a 78–53 win over Neosho County on Friday night. The Pirates dominated the glass, shared the ball, and saw major contributions across the lineup.

James Porter III delivered one of his strongest outings of the season, finishing with 18 points and 11 rebounds for a commanding double-double. Porter was efficient around the rim and a force on the boards, helping NCMC control the interior all night.

Fellow frontcourt standout Deng Gak was equally impressive, posting 16 points and 12 rebounds while knocking down two threes. Gak's presence on the offensive glass helped the Pirates extend possessions and build momentum in both halves.

Sophomore guard Camden Bennett also led the scoring with 18 points, attacking downhill and converting 9-of-11 from the foul line. His consistency at the stripe provided stability as NCMC pulled away.

Grant Redd added 9 points, hitting a key three and contributing on both ends, while Talan Holt provided an energetic boost off the bench with 5 points, 6 rebounds, and a block in 17 solid minutes.

Freshman guard Kalen Streit also made an impact, knocking down a three and dishing out 4 assists to help guide the NCMC offense.

With a 43–36 rebounding advantage, just five turnovers, and 21 made free throws, the Pirates controlled the game's tempo from start to finish.
