North Central Missouri College Athletics will recognize its sophomore student-athletes for both basketball teams, the Dance Wave and Pirates Digital Media on Saturday. The 2026 Hall of Fame class will also be celebrated for their contributions to the legacy of Pirate athletics on February 7th.
The afternoon begins with women's basketball tipping off at 2:00 pm, followed by the men's game at 4:00 pm. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in a full slate of recognition ceremonies throughout the day plus cheer on the Pirates as they tangle with Region 16 foe Jefferson College.
Sophomore Day ceremonies will be conducted as follows:
- The Pirates Digital Media Sophomore Day ceremony will take place prior to the women's basketball game.
- The men's basketball Sophomore Day ceremony will be held at halftime of the women's game.
- The women's basketball and Dance Wave Sophomore Day ceremony will take place at halftime of the men's game.
Between games, NCMC will host the 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, honoring former student-athletes, coaches, and contributors who have made a lasting impact on Pirate athletics.
Following the conclusion of the men's basketball game, all former NCMC Hall of Fame inductees and Booster Club members are invited to attend the Hall of Fame Social, which will be held at Chesapeake on Main beginning at approximately 6:15 pm.
In addition to the on-court celebrations, fans can visit the NCMC Campus Store, located in the Dr. Neil and Susanne Nuttall Student Center, which will be open from noon to 2:00 pm prior to the games. During that time, shoppers will receive 15% off one selected item.
This will be a special day for the entire department, as we celebrate both our current sophomores and the rich history of NCMC Athletics. We look forward to welcoming alumni, families, and fans back to campus to be part of the celebration.
