Whitley Richman
Whitley Richman

Freshman, Forward Whitley Richman has been just what the Lady Pirates needed this season. With opponents keying on returning players like Kendey, Sarah, and Madison; Whitley has made the most of her time on the court. Through first twelve games, Richman has averaged just over 10 points and 8 rebounds per game. She is also shooting 85% from the free throw line, a number that anyone who has followed her progress has come to expect. After all, Whitley was practically raised on the NCMC basketball court.

Following a very nice prep career at Trenton High School, Whitley chose to play for Coach Croy and the Lady Pirates. “I really just wanted to stay in the community for a little while longer and I had a lot of friends that were coming to play at NCMC, I liked the opportunity” commented Richman. There is little doubt that her teammates, coaches, and the Lady Pirates fan base is glad she chose to play at home.

Fun Facts: Through one semester her favorite instructor has been Mr. Norris (NCMC Art Instructor). When Whitley isn’t on the court or in the classroom, she is probably riding around with friends or cruising the lake on her jet ski.
